Exte
Exte is an Italian fashion brand created in 1996 by Ittierre S.p.A., part of the IT Holding Group. Its name derives from the Latin expression ex tempore, translated as “beyond time,” and its first presentation took place in January 1996 at Milan’s Bovisa Gasometer. Early designs emphasized experimental materials and technology, combining elements such as rubber, Lycra, metal plates, carbon fibres, unusual finishes, and unexpected transparencies. In 2001, the brand presented the interactive e.chair and developed seven virtual models for communication with photographer Gian Paolo Tomasi and GQ. After the failure of the Ittierre group, Exte disappeared from the market. Neapolitan fashion entrepreneur Paolo Settembre acquired the brand in 2020 and planned its relaunch.
