Extrait D'Atelier
Established in 2015 by Chiara Ronzani, Extrait D’Atelier is based in Veneto, Italy. Its identity brings together Italian artisanal culture and French naming, reflecting Ronzani’s Veneto origins and years spent in Paris, while translating the atmosphere and processes of artisans’ workshops into perfume. The brand presents its fragrances as genderless and organizes them around master craftspeople and skilled trades, making artisanal craft its clearest public theme. Its first three fragrances—Maître Couturier, Maître Chausseur, and Maître Joaillier—launched in 2016 at Esxence in Milan and Pitti Fragranze in Florence. Maître Chausseur was a finalist in the Independent category of the 2017 Art and Olfaction Awards. Maître Céramiste was officially launched at Esxence Milan in 2018, followed in 2019 by Maître Jardinier, created with perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. Ronzani is the brand’s founder and creative director, testing and assessing perfumers’ work as they translate artisanal environments into fragrance.
