F. Millot

F. Millot is a French perfume house whose history is documented from the establishment of Parfums Millot in 1839, with Félix Millot identified as the brand’s founder in 1860. In 1899, Henri Desprez and Félix Dubois took over the company. The house presented an Art Nouveau perfume bottle at the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle, highlighting the bottle as part of the perfume’s visual expression. Around the 1920s, Jean Desprez, a descendant of the founding family, became the house’s principal perfumer and created Crêpe de Chine, launched in 1925. Crêpe de Chine became an international success and is the fragrance for which F. Millot is especially remembered. Révillon perfumes took over the house in 1966, ending its long period as an independent family perfume house. Today, F.Millot presents itself as a perfume-and-cosmetics house focused on aromachology, connecting fragrance with psychological and physiological wellbeing and drawing on expertise in natural and floral ingredients.
