Façonnable
Façonnable began in 1950, when Jean Goldberg founded an original workshop-boutique on rue Paradis in Nice. In 1961, his son Albert took over, renamed the business Façonnable, and developed ready-to-wear clothing shaped by French Riviera style and contemporary sportswear. The brand’s identity combines Riviera culture with American sportswear and relaxed French chic, with the shirt as a central emblem of its collections. After Façonnable became independent in the late 2000s, creative director Eric Wright presented a first collection that redirected the design toward the label’s roots as a French haberdasher. Acquired by All We Wear Group in 2016, Façonnable remains one of the group’s integrated brands; its 2022–23 report slated it for a relaunch in autumn 2023 with modern sportswear. Façonnable entered fragrance in 1994 with its first men’s Eau de Toilette, described in fragrance coverage as a key icon of the French Riviera; L’Original is presented as a reinterpretation of that original scent.
