Farmacia SS. Annunziata

Farmacia SS. Annunziata traces its origins to a Florentine apothecary documented in 1561 and associated with Domenico di Vincenzo Brunetti. Its historic premises remain at Via dei Servi 80 in Florence, where the business has maintained its headquarters since its origin. The pharmacy was identified as the spezieria all’insegna della Santissima Annunziata in 1876 and adopted the name Farmacia della Santissima Annunziata in 1935. Carlo Azzerlini and Laura Pizzati became owners in 1970, beginning the family ownership that continues today. In 1985, the Azzerlinis introduced a larger cosmetics line; in 1991, the laboratory moved to KER S.r.l. and the Farmacia SS. Annunziata dal 1561 brand mark was introduced. Its fragrance business emerged between 2004 and 2008, extending the apothecary tradition into artisanal personal and home perfumery shaped by Florentine history, galenic knowledge, and contemporary research. The 2011 fragrance 450 commemorated the brand’s 450th anniversary, with iris as its principal note and a tribute to Florence. In 2021, Elena Azzerlini led a new brand identity and celebratory fragrance collection. The brand introduced Al Rihla in 2025 and announced the four-fragrance Street Art Fragrances project in 2026.
