Fragrance house
Fenty
Fenty began with Fenty Beauty, launched by Rihanna in September 2017 in partnership with Kendo Brands, a beauty developer owned by LVMH. Its founding identity centered on inclusion across traditionally hard-to-match skin tones and formulas intended for all skin types. In May 2019, Rihanna and LVMH launched a Fenty luxury fashion house under the wider Fenty umbrella alongside Fenty Beauty, with Rihanna as its creative force and the first woman of color to lead an LVMH label. Fenty Skin launched in July 2020 around simple skincare for all skin tones and types. In February 2021, LVMH and Rihanna put the fashion house’s European ready-to-wear activity on hold and refocused the wider Fenty ecosystem on cosmetics, skincare and lingerie. Fenty Eau de Parfum, launched in August 2021 as the brand’s first fragrance, was presented as a gender-neutral signature scent shaped by Rihanna’s personal involvement and creative direction. Fenty Hair launched in June 2024, extending the beauty-for-all approach into haircare and styling for different hair types and textures.
