Fragrance house
Ffern
Ffern was co-founded in Somerset in 2017 by siblings Owen Mears and Emily Cameron. Shaped by their upbringing beside a biodynamic herb farm, the brand was created to return perfumery to artisan roots through natural ingredients, craft, and independent artistic expression. Its core format is seasonal: Ffern creates one fragrance for each season, releasing them around the equinoxes and solstices in limited quantities managed through a client ledger and an archive of returned fragrances. The perfumery has been shaped by François Robert and Elodie Durande, whose head-nose role reflects the brand’s continuing connection to Robert’s family lineage and Joseph Robert’s historical work in natural extraction. By 2026, Ffern had extended its creative identity into seasonal cinematic storytelling, with an in-house film team, an online cinema, and concepts and stories developed by Cameron.
