Fidji

Fidji is a fragrance created for the Guy Laroche fashion house, which Guy Laroche opened in 1957. The house introduced its first ready-to-wear collection in 1961, with an identity centered on structured lines, soft movement, and refined Parisian silhouettes. Launched in 1966, Fidji was Guy Laroche’s first and most successful women’s prestige perfume. IFF perfumer Joséphine Catapano composed the version that replaced an earlier Edmond Roudnitska composition. Fidji helped popularize the green floral chypre family and had sold 80 million bottles worldwide twenty years after its launch. Bic sold Guy Laroche to Rech International in 2001, and YGM Trading acquired the Guy Laroche brand in 2004, continuing to present it in its portfolio.
