Fila
Founded in 1911 in the Biella area of Italy by the Fila brothers, FILA began by making knitwear and underwear. In the 1970s, it expanded into sportswear through White Line, a tennis collection associated with creative director Pierluigi Rolando that introduced color to tennis apparel and debuted the F-Box logo. FILA’s sports identity developed through athlete sponsorships, particularly its relationship with tennis player Björn Borg, and through involvement in skiing, mountaineering, swimming, yachting, basketball, and other sports. FILA Korea was established in 1991, became independent from FILA Global through a management buyout in 2005, and acquired the global FILA brand and its overseas subsidiaries in 2007. For its 110th anniversary in 2021, FILA worked with Katie Grand to reinterpret archival sportswear designs for a collection presented in connection with Milan Fashion Week. In April 2025, FILA Holdings changed its name to Misto Holdings, while FILA retained its individual identity. At Milan Fashion Week in March 2026, FILA presented its F/W 2026 FILA MILANO collection under creative director Alistair Carr, combining formal styling with performance-oriented sportswear.
