Firebird

Firebird Bath & Body began selling handmade bath and body products online and at Baltimore-area craft shows and festivals in 2008. Based in northeast Baltimore, Maryland, the brand was founded and is owned by Brooke Marton. In 2009, sudden unemployment prompted Brooke to develop the business from an earlier idea captured in sketches and notes; Firebird later recalled that its first sale was a bar of soap, marking its fifth anniversary on February 14, 2014. Formerly known as Flourish Bath & Body, Firebird received New York Times coverage in 2014 in connection with handmade beauty products sold through Etsy. Although it began with bath and body goods, the business added perfumes in response to customer requests, and perfume subsequently became a primary focus. Today, Firebird presents itself as a small-batch handcrafted bath, body and fragrance brand. Its scents draw on recognizable elements, memory and experience, pairing familiar notes in unexpected combinations and attempting to recreate personal scent memories.
