First American Brands

Established in 2001, First American Brands is an American fragrance company whose business developed around licensing and releasing fragrances across prestige, lifestyle, and children’s segments. Its portfolio later incorporated Parfums Daniel Aubusson, with the line appearing under the name Parfums Aubusson. The company’s licensing model also encompassed character and entertainment properties; a 2016 European Commission decision identified Disney as one of its fragrance brands. In 2009, First American Brands collaborated with Jesse McCartney on Wanted, his first perfume, with McCartney participating in the fragrance’s creation and selecting its notes. Within the Aubusson portfolio associated with First American Brands, Histoire d’Amour was launched in 1984 and described as the house’s breakthrough fragrance and one of its most beloved.
