Fragrance house

Flair Paris

Flair Paris was created in September 2012 as a fragrance-creation studio by Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel, with Martine Denisot joining the project. The founders established it to support independent and niche fragrance brands that larger composition houses did not adequately serve in scale and collaboration. Its approach emphasizes independence, creative freedom, collaboration, attentive listening, and a creative practice less constrained by established conventions. Early projects included Rouge Assassin for Jovoy and Paradis Perdu for Frapin; the studio went on to develop fragrances for independent brands including BDK Parfums, Liquides Imaginaires, Les Eaux Primordiales, and Room 1015. Flair also extended its work into olfactory art through a research and art-fragrance branch led by Sandra Barré, launching the Prix Flair in 2022 to support olfactory-art projects. The studio’s creative direction draws on the complementary approaches of Bourgeois, whose work is described as nuanced and harmonious, and Behaghel, whose work is more urban, inventive, and interested in creative contrast. Flair is primarily an independent, multi-brand fragrance-creation studio rather than a consumer fragrance house built around a single in-house signature or collection.
