Florame

Founded in 1990 in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by Michel Sommerard, Florame began alongside the creation of the Musée des Arômes, an aromatherapy laboratory and an initial product line. Its early work focused on essential oils, vegetable oils, floral waters, waxes and plant butters, before the brand developed natural and organic cosmetics. In 2002, Olivier and Elisabeth Ruth acquired Florame, bringing it into the Provence Nature Développement group. That same year, Florame participated in the creation of Cosmébio, France’s professional organic-cosmetics association. The brand’s enduring identity is rooted in Provence and in an aromatherapy-informed approach built around distillation, essential oils, floral waters and plant extracts.
