Foras

Founded in 2021 by perfumer Alex Verier, Foras is a fragrance brand based in Folkestone, Kent. It began as a curated range produced in small batches in a laboratory behind its first shop. Its creative identity is shaped by nature-informed, experimental fragrances developed around ingredients, places, occasions, and stories. The brand uses a slow formulation process combining natural and synthetic materials, with small-batch production and packaging designed around its nature-focused approach. Verier is Foras’s sole named perfumer and is described as a Kent-based formulator and perfumer with more than 15 years of industry experience. Foras’s homepage identifies Bitter Citrus as its “Signature” fragrance. Oxidised Rose offers another example of the brand’s approach: it is presented as an unconventional interpretation of rose, with metallic and marine facets set against a leather base.
