Fragrance house
Francesca Bianchi
Francesca Bianchi created her perfume line in Amsterdam after working in art-book publishing, and officially launched the brand in 2016, turning years of personal study and experimentation in perfumery into a professional career. Bianchi is the house’s founder, perfumer, and creative author; she conceives and formulates every fragrance herself, translating ideas, emotions, memories, and states of mind into scent. The brand’s olfactory identity is centered on intimacy and humanity, with sensuality used to explore physicality and complex human emotions. By 2018, the line comprised Angel’s Dust, The Dark Side, Sex and the Sea, and Under the Skin, while Memoirs of a Lover was presented as its fifth creation at Pitti Fragranze. Its fragrances are extrait de parfums, and the collection has been described as sensual, animalic, leathery, and powdery. Sex and the Sea is among the fragrances the official site identifies as best sellers.
