Francis Kurkdjian (Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris)

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris was founded in 2009 by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and Marc Chaya. Kurkdjian’s creative work has included Le Mâle for Jean Paul Gaultier, released in 1995, as well as bespoke perfume, artistic collaborations, and olfactory installations. Le Mâle immediately broke sales records and displaced Dior’s Eau Sauvage as the leading men’s fragrance. The house combines French fine-perfumery tradition with a contemporary approach to creating and wearing perfume, organizing its collection as a fragrance wardrobe. Kurkdjian provides the vision and creative talent behind the eponymous collection while working with Chaya on product aesthetics and overall creative direction. Baccarat Rouge 540 is a defining fragrance for the house, arising from its encounter with Baccarat and inspired by crystal transformed at 540°C.
