Fragrance house

French Connection UK

French Connection UK was founded in 1972 by Stephen Marks with an aim of creating design-led, fashionable clothing. It evolved from a relatively low-key UK clothing chain into an international fashion brand, extending through licensed categories that included beauty, watches and sunglasses. By 2004, French Connection was moving away from using the FCUK logo in advertising after complaints and regulatory scrutiny, while retaining the label on clothing. Fragrance entered the business through licensing rather than as a dedicated perfume house, with the 2003 launch of the fcuk Him and fcuk Her duo, marketed as an extension of the brand’s irreverent FCUK identity. Effective February 2026, G-III Apparel Group entered a North American licensing agreement covering French Connection women’s and men’s apparel and selected accessories.
