Fragrance house
Friedemodin
Friedemodin grew from the collaboration of Nina Friede, from Worpswede, Germany, and Elisabeth Modin, from Stockholm, Sweden. The founders met and developed the house concept in London, combining their surnames to create its name. Conceived around perfume storytelling, Friedemodin developed collections intended to express distinct places, times, and cultures through fragrance. Its first collection, Jardin Mystique, explored the changing scents of a wild garden, with fragrances designed to be worn individually or layered together; François Robert created and developed the collection. As a subsequent collection took shape, the founders worked with Paris-based perfumer Thomas Fontaine, whom they selected for his understanding of their concept and collaborative approach to its creative development. Friedemodin’s documented olfactory identity brings together contemporary fragrance design, traditional perfumery roots, narrative concepts, natural-garden imagery, and compatible scents for layering. The UK legal company FRIEDEMODIN LIMITED was incorporated in 2011 and dissolved on 24 April 2018.
