Fume

Founded in 2019, FUME is a self-owned fragrance house based in Brooklyn, New York. Cristóbal owns the brand and oversees its fragrance development as perfumer. FUME’s practice brings together culture, science, and olfactive art through custom, artist-led perfumery and end-to-end fragrance development, including concept development, formulation, packaging design, sourcing, filling, and regulatory filing. Its fragrance work includes Gay Juice, a project inspired by 1970s queer counterculture and camp that connects the scent to the history and legacy of queer liberation. FUME also collaborated with the Horological Society of New York and Hoax Parfum on 1866, developing the visual identity for what the society describes as its first fragrance.
