Fun & Basics
Fun&Basics is a Spanish family fashion brand founded in 1994 by Javier Goyeneche. It began with lightweight nylon bags and practical urban accessories made with innovative materials, developing an identity built around color, playfulness, and functionality rather than a specific age or income group. In 2000, capital from five of Goyeneche’s friends supported the company’s growth, broader concept, overseas manufacturing, and expanded team. The company entered creditor proceedings in 2008, closed its retail activity, and entered liquidation in March 2012. During that liquidation, Mar de Moel acquired control; at the beginning of 2016, Javier Guerra sold the brand to José Flores, who relaunched it through Fun Basics Moda with a broader offer for women, men, and children. Fun&Basics later extended its fashion-and-accessories identity into fragrance with Be Fun, a line for women and men associated with dynamism, leisure, music, freedom, and fun. Its current legal notice lists Actuando 2012 S.L.U. as the website owner and identifies Fun&Basics as a registered trademark.
