Fragrance house
Gabilla
Established in Paris in 1910 by Henriette Gabilla, a Syrian perfumer and cosmetician, Les Parfumeries de Gabilla developed as a perfume and cosmetics house. The house received a Prix d’honneur at the 1925 Paris Art Deco Exhibition and worked with Baccarat before commissioning René Lalique that year to create four fragrance flacons. Its fragrance identity was strongly floral, with natural flower scents including violet, lilac, rose, lily-of-the-valley, mimosa, and sweet pea. La Vierge Folle stands out among its principal creations and was included in a 1932 Gabilla recommendation. The company ceased operations in 1969.
