Fragrance house
Gabriella Sabatini
Gabriela Sabatini’s fragrance line began in 1989 through a partnership with German perfume company Mülhens. Its identity was closely connected to the Argentine tennis champion’s public profile: she won the 1990 US Open and the 1988 Olympic singles silver medal while continuing to promote the line. The signature fragrance, Gabriela Sabatini, was introduced that same year; the Los Angeles Times reported that it became an instant No. 1 in Germany and remained in the country’s top 10 by 1995. Coty describes the fragrance identity as floral, with exotic nuances, vanilla, and precious woods. In 2015–2016, the Gabriela Sabatini fragrance license moved from Procter & Gamble to Coty through the P&G Specialty Beauty transaction.
