Galore

Galore is a fragrance name rather than a standalone fragrance house, first associated with Germaine Monteil and later marketed in a reformulated version by Five Star Fragrance Co. Its story is tied to Germaine Monteil, whose cosmetics company was established in New York in 1936 with an identity spanning fashion, cosmetics, and scientifically oriented beauty development. Germaine Monteil Parfums followed in 1941, introducing Laughter, Nostalgia, New Love, and Frou-Frou; the perfume business was separated from the cosmetics business in 1953. Galore itself was launched in 1964 as an amber/floral, or oriental-floral, fragrance. The Monteil brand changed hands over time, including WildeGroup’s acquisition in 2006 and BRAIN AG’s sale of its shares to Wilde in 2019.
