Fragrance house
Gazzaz
Gazzaz traces its history to 1942, when Hussein Bakry Gazzaz began the business and became Saudi Arabia’s first agent to import perfumes. By 1946, its perfume-importing activity had expanded; contemporary coverage records Ca Train De Paris as an early French fragrance agency and separately notes Gazzaz’s initial import relationship with Lubin. The business later evolved from perfume retail and importing into a broader luxury-goods company spanning cosmetics, watches, cufflinks, pens, gifts, antiques, leather goods, clothing, and beauty products. By 2013, Gazzaz was publicly associated with a fragrance-led luxury-retail identity, while its founder was reported to mix his own fragrances and send them to manufacturers for larger-scale production. Hussein Bakry Gazzaz died in January 2021 at age 95. The official website identifies Gazzaz Trading Company as the operating entity and Hussein Bakry Gazzaz & Co. Ltd. as the owner, with GAZZAZ as the trade name and its intellectual property belonging to Gazzaz and/or its owners.
