Genyum

Genyum is a Spanish fragrance brand founded by Anna Torrents in 2018. Its origins lie in the studio of Torrents’s husband, an iron sculptor, whose materials, routines, and creative process helped shape the brand’s concept after Torrents left Carolina Herrera Fragrances. Genyum builds fragrances around artists and their professions, rituals, materials, and workspaces rather than famous artworks; Torrents serves as creative director, working with perfumers to translate those elements into scent. The brand began with three fragrances in 2018 and expanded the artistic-profession concept with three more in 2019. Among its fragrances, Painter has the clearest documented signature: by 2025, it was described as Genyum’s bestseller in every market, representing the materials and sensations of a painter’s studio through black pepper, Laminaria seaweed, and vetiver.
