George Gina & Lucy
George Gina & Lucy was founded in Germany in 2004 by Nicolas Neuhaus, Nicole Bailly, and Oliver Bruhn, who initially planned to produce textiles before launching a handbag collection through Departmentgreen. Its first collection comprised 1,500 bags and sold out within weeks, after which the original nylon concept expanded into patent-leather and leather collections. The brand’s handbags and accessories are characterized by a three-lion logo, a steel clasp, numerous pockets, and varied colors and fabrics. In 2011, Beauty Brands Vertriebs GmbH became Beauty Brands International after Straub GmbH became its majority shareholder, with BBI holding the international development and distribution licenses for George Gina & Lucy. That September, the brand entered fragrance with an Eau de Parfum presented in nine variants. It is currently presented primarily through handbags and eyewear, with Departmentgreen GmbH identified as the company behind its store.
