Georges Rech

Founded in Paris in 1962 by designer Georges Rech, the house developed a luxury ready-to-wear identity positioned between prêt-à-porter and haute couture, marked by precise cutting, detailed finishing, and a masculine-feminine aesthetic. Its historical evolution included the Synonyme line in 1973 and the Unanyme line in 1983. In 1986, Air France selected Georges Rech to design uniforms for its ground staff. Georges Rech retired in 1990 and sold the business to the British group Courtaulds. The brand changed ownership again in 2005, when the Apostrophe group acquired it from Swiss investment fund Leman Capital in a transaction involving the brand and its retail assets.
