Gepard

Guépard’s documented history reaches back to a 1967 trademark registered for watches and jewellery. The company was founded in 1979, entered the international watch market in 1982, and Guépard S.A. was registered that year as Intermovement S.A.; it adopted the Guépard name in December 1983. The house then broadened its accessories beyond watches and jewellery to silk scarves, ties, umbrellas, leather goods, bags and luggage. In 1990, the company acquired new shareholders, who chose a different logo and trademark. Guépard introduced its first eponymous women’s fragrance in 1997 and a masculine edition in 1998, presenting the fragrances in jewel-shaped bottles that reflected its jewellery identity. The early fragrance identity was documented as chypre for the women’s edition and mossy chypre for the masculine edition. Releases recorded from 2000 to 2004 included the Délirium fragrances and Fashion editions.
