Ggema

Ggema was founded by Ruth and Thomas Méaulle, whose backgrounds combine gemology and investment expertise. The pair had previously developed Orlov Paris together, making Ggema an evolution of their earlier work in niche perfumery. Ggema first announced itself publicly at Esxence 2023 in Milan. Its creative identity connects gemology with perfumery: each creation begins with a color such as ruby red, sapphire blue, or moonstone white, while its fragrances are infused with real gemstones. The brand collaborates with perfumers including Shyamala Maisondieu, Jordi Fernández, and Julien Rasquinet, giving them freedom to translate color and emotion into scent. Ruby Rouge, created by Maisondieu, was inspired by a deep red ruby and became the starting point of Ggema; its raspberry, rose, and amber composition expresses the brand’s ruby-red, color-led concept. The Sapphire Collection, presented among Ggema’s early 2023 collections, extended that concept into sapphire-inspired fragrances. Ggema is a privately held Paris-based perfume and cosmetics company.
