Ghost

Ghost is a London-based fashion label founded in 1984 by Tanya Sarne and Katharine Hamnett. The brand became associated with bias-cut, easily packable slip dresses made from synthetic materials, feminine detailing, and silky rayon that draped on the body. In 1992, Ghost was invited to show at New York Fashion Week while remaining based in London, with collections developed by in-house designers under Sarne’s direction. Ghost entered perfumery in 2000 with Ghost the Fragrance. The fragrance business changed hands from P&G Prestige to Designer Parfums in January 2012, and Designer Parfums currently identifies Ghost among the brands it owns or licenses. Ghost the Fragrance remains the brand’s signature scent and was described as its range’s most popular fragrance two decades after launch. A recent refresh introduced updated logo and imagery while emphasizing individuality, emotion, and self-expression.
