Ghost Ship Scentporium
Ghost Ship Scentporium was founded by Ursula Bielski after a 33-year career in parapsychology, history, and folklore. She began by making perfumes for herself, family, and friends, then developed the idea of recreating the atmosphere of haunted places in olfactory form for people drawn to legends. Identified as a United States fragrance brand, Ghost Ship makes its fragrances by hand in Chicago. Its creative world draws on supernatural folklore, paranormal history, haunted places, and legendary or literary subjects: 1871 takes inspiration from the Great Chicago Fire, while 1929 reflects Chicago gangland history; the range also includes Ghost of Poe. Bielski is the brand’s perfumer and designs its labels and packaging. Ghost Ship’s fragrance identity emphasizes small-batch, handmade parfum production and atmospheric storytelling rather than a single documented signature fragrance.
