Giorgio Beverly Hill

Giorgio Beverly Hills traces its story to a boutique opened on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in 1961. Fred Hayman took over the business from his partners in 1962, and the boutique’s yellow-and-white-striped frontage became a durable visual marker of the brand. Its identity was tied to Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, and a Californian lifestyle; the original boutique operated until 2001. The first Giorgio Beverly Hills fragrance arrived in 1981 as an extension of that lifestyle identity. The original Giorgio fragrance was reported as the nation’s top-selling fragrance for four years before Red displaced it, while Red was the national top seller in 1990; in 1994, Giorgio, Red, and Wings were all reported among the country’s 15 top-selling fragrances. The original Giorgio is currently presented as the house’s signature rich floral fragrance. Revlon’s acquisition of Elizabeth Arden, completed in 2016, included Giorgio Beverly Hills among its acquired heritage fragrance brands. A trademark record identifies BrandCo Giorgio Beverly Hills 2020 LLC as proprietor and records an assignment to BrandCo in 2020.
