Gisou

Gisou was launched in 2015 by Negin Mirsalehi and her fiancé, Maurits Stibbe, growing from the Mirsalehi family’s six-generation beekeeping heritage. The family’s bee garden was established in Almere, Netherlands, in the 1980s, and the brand’s founding product drew on a honey-infused hair-oil formula developed by Mirsalehi’s mother, a hairdresser, and used by the family. Gisou’s identity centers on Mirsalehi Honey and propolis, the Mirsalehi Bee Garden, and an approach intended to support bee welfare and awareness of beekeeping. Its Honey Infused Hair Oil launched in November 2015, sold out in under three months, and by 2020 was the brand’s number-one worldwide bestseller. Gisou moved beyond haircare with the Honey Infused Face Oil in 2021 and Honey Infused Lip Oil in 2022. In April 2022, Eurazeo made a minority investment alongside Vaultier7, while the co-founders remained majority owners. By its tenth anniversary in 2025, Gisou’s creative identity combined beekeeping heritage with modern innovation, with honey at the center of its beauty concept. In fragrance, Honey Infused pairs honey with spring florals and apricot and mandarin citrus, inspired by the bee garden. The Honey Infused Hair Perfume is an iconic signature fragrance and one of the brand’s bestsellers since launch; a Floral Edition was introduced in September 2022.
