Fragrance house
Glamfume
Glamfume launched in September 2016 as the first own fragrance label of the German family business Parfümerie Akzente, which operated the parfumdreams online shop. The project was developed as a family collaboration: Christina Renchen and her daughter Stefanie created the fragrances, while other family members contributed to logistics, patenting, packaging, and the men’s fragrance. Its original launch comprised True Story and True Story Men and was framed around a mother-and-daughter story and a family-created fragrance project. In August 2017, Glamfume introduced Keep Calm and Love Sylt, a five-fragrance unisex line developed by Christina and Stefanie Renchen as a tribute to the island of Sylt. True Story was reported as parfumdreams’ best-selling fragrance during the 2016 Christmas business, with available stock sold out after four months. On 27 April 2018, Douglas announced an agreement to acquire Parfümerie Akzente from the Renchen family; the transaction was completed in August 2018. Akzente’s current corporate history identifies it as a Douglas Group subsidiary since 2018.
