Gobin Daudé
Gobin Daudé is a French niche fragrance brand established by Victoire Gobin-Daudé, a self-taught Parisian perfumer, whose perfume line launched around 2002. Before turning to perfumery, Gobin-Daudé worked with Pierre Cardin, studied Japanese intensively, and developed an interest in plants and their properties; she later learned weighing and formulation from perfumers and laboratories. Her creative identity centers on natural materials and close attention to their development on skin, with compositions intended to evoke nature, sensuality, and animal facets. The documented collection comprises five perfumes, all dated 2002: Biche Dans L’Absinthe, Jardins Ottomans, Nuit Au Désert, Sève Exquise, and Sous Le Buis. Gobin-Daudé is credited as perfumer for these fragrances. Biche Dans L’Absinthe offers a clear example of her method, having been built to suggest the sensation of an animal’s russet coat and developed from a small initial base through successive touches.
