Goldfield & Banks

Goldfield & Banks was launched in 2016 by Dimitri Weber after he relocated to Australia and identified an opportunity for fragrances built around Australian botanicals and French perfumery expertise. The name pays homage to Joseph Banks, the botanist who travelled to Australia with Captain Cook. Its creative identity joins native Australian botanicals with French perfumery savoir-faire, using scent to express Australian places and landscapes. The house’s fragrance offering is organized into The Native Collection, centered on Australian native botanicals, and The Botanical Series, which interprets botanicals cultivated in Australia through French perfume expertise. Weber remains the brand’s founder and creative director, and his work with Australian botanicals and extracts has contributed to the development of homegrown Australian perfume. Among the house’s current best sellers is Bohemian Lime, inspired by Byron Bay and built around Australian Finger Lime. Southern Bloom received the Silver award for Best New Niche Fragrance at the 2019 Pure Beauty Awards.
