Founded in Sydney in 2016 by French-Belgian fragrance expert Dimitri Weber, Goldfield & Banks Australia grew from his discovery of the country’s native botanicals and the absence of an Australian luxury perfume house devoted to them. The brand combines those materials with French perfumery expertise, using fragrance to evoke particular Australian landscapes and places. Weber remains identified as the house’s founder and creative director, with his work focused on translating botanical and landscape references into gender-free perfumes. Its fragrance identity is organized around The Native Collection, centered on Australian native botanicals, and The Botanical Series, which highlights rare or precious ingredients cultivated in Australia. Silky Woods, the Botanical Series’ debut, is built around tropical Australian agarwood and is listed among the brand’s current best-selling fragrances.
