Graff
Graff began in London in 1960, when Laurence Graff established Graff Diamonds after starting as a jeweller’s apprentice in Hatton Garden at 15 and founding his first company at 18, initially repairing Victorian jewellery. The house opened its first two London boutiques in 1962 and began pursuing an international clientele through journeys and exhibitions in 1967; its first overseas boutique followed in Monaco in 2000. Graff was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1973, before Laurence Graff bought the publicly traded shares and delisted the company in 1977. Graff remains family-owned and run, with François Graff at the helm. Its creative identity focuses on exceptional diamonds and coloured gemstones, shaped by contemporary-classic design and a strong Art Deco influence. In 2017, Laurence Graff acquired the 1,109-carat Lesedi La Rona rough diamond from Lucara Diamond Corp.; the stone inspired Graff’s six-scent Lesedi La Rona Fragrance Collection, which debuted exclusively at Harrods in March 2020.
