Hally
Hally is a privately held hair company founded in 2020 by Kathryn Winokur, who founded it after researching at-home hair-color options during maternity leave following an intern’s poor hair-dye experience. It launched commercially in 2021 as a modern at-home hair-color brand for self-expression and experimentation. The brand’s identity centers on clean, easy-to-use products that make experimenting with color resemble using color cosmetics. In 2022, Hally introduced Color Cloud, presented as the first ammonia-free foam hair dye, and entered Ulta Beauty through its SPARKED program, expanding to 324 stores and ulta.com. By 2023, it had extended its range through temporary hair-color products and hair gloss, alongside collaborations connected to film, pop culture, and Baylor University’s student-athlete program. In 2024, Hally reported that its full assortment and a dedicated shelf had reached every Ulta Beauty store nationwide. On March 6, 2025, it expanded into hair fragrance with Lady H, an alcohol-free, water-based hair perfume intended to combine fragrance with hair shine.
