Hampton Sun

Hampton Sun was founded by Salvatore Piazzolla and Grant Wilfley, with its first use in commerce recorded as May 1, 2005. Piazzolla developed the concept after seeking sun care that was more pleasant and effective, and the founders shaped the brand around a Hamptons-associated identity combining sun protection, skincare benefits, refined sensory qualities, and a distinctive regional aesthetic. Its current public identity centers on sun care with skincare-oriented formulas and fragrance as part of the sensory experience. By 2018, Hampton Sun had extended beyond sun-care formulas into fragrance and home fragrance with a collection centered on Privet Bloom. In 2023, Rande Gerber entered a partnership with the brand and was identified as a co-owner. Privet Bloom is Hampton Sun’s signature scent, created to evoke Hamptons privet hedges and used as the basis for its fragrance and home collection.
