Hayley Kiyoko

Hayley Kiyoko’s fragrance venture began with discussions in 2019 and took shape as Hue, her first fragrance, launched on March 3, 2021. Developed through a partnership involving Kiyoko, Atlantic Records, Slate Brands, Warner Music Artist Services, and Brands With Purpose, Hue is presented as an inclusive, gender-fluid fragrance centered on liberation, self-empowerment, acceptance, and belonging, with particular relevance to LGBTQ+ audiences. Kiyoko served as the principal creative force, working through numerous scent iterations and shaping the concept and visual identity around the idea that people have different “hues”; perfumer Constance Georges-Picot created the fragrance in collaboration with her. Hue’s olfactory identity combines fruity and floral elements with a warm musk-and-cacao base, including blood orange, watermelon, lychee, peony, and rose. The debut was nominated as a finalist for The Fragrance Foundation’s 2022 Universal Prestige Fragrance of the Year.
