HealthGlow is identified as a product brand manufactured by Shield Chemicals (Pty) Ltd., a South African company. Its corporate lineage traces to 1964, when Marc Dionne started Shield Car Products; the company later expanded into personal-care products. In 1985, Hilton Clark bought Shield, which became Shield Car Care Products and Chemicals (Pty) Ltd., and the Shield brand was repackaged in the early 1990s. HealthGlow’s documented public identity is sun protection: CANSA lists Healthglow among Shield Chemicals’ sunscreen brands and recognizes the associated products through its Seal of Recognition program.
