Fragrance house

Heeley

Heeley was founded in Paris in 2006 by British designer and perfumer James Heeley, who moved into perfumery after discovering fragrance composition through his creative work in France. The house is an independent, founder-led practice combining contemporary compositions with French perfumery traditions, while treating fragrance, graphic design, and packaging as parts of one creative language. Its collection developed from delicate, fresh scents toward more intense and landscape-inspired compositions, later extending to perfume extracts. Today, Heeley presents French-made eau de parfum and perfume-extract creations generally suited to women and men. Menthe Fraîche, released in 2006, was among James Heeley’s first perfumes and explored making mint contemporary; it also received a five-star New York Times T Magazine review in 2009.
