HEIDSIECK

HEIDSIECK traces its documented history to Florens-Louis Heidsieck, who founded a Champagne house in Reims in 1785 and presented its Champagne to Queen Marie Antoinette in 1788. The original business later gave rise to distinct descendant houses: Piper-Heidsieck joined the Piper and Heidsieck names in 1839, while Charles Camille Heidsieck founded Charles Heidsieck in 1851. Ownership subsequently diverged across the houses: Rémy Martin acquired Charles Heidsieck in 1985 and Piper-Heidsieck in 1988, Rémy Cointreau sold its Champagne division to EPI in 2011, and Heidsieck & C° Monopole was acquired by Vranken-Pommery Monopole in 1996. The documented HEIDSIECK identity is therefore associated with Champagne businesses rather than an established fragrance house.
