Henry Jacques

Henry Jacques is a French fragrance house founded in 1975 by Henry Cremona. Henry and Yvette Cremona built it around rare essences and bespoke fragrance creation, working with perfumer Joseph Sassy; Yvette later became a perfumer herself. For roughly its first four decades, the house served private clients with personal, one-of-a-kind fragrances rather than operating as a broadly public brand. After Henry retired in 2010, Anne-Lise Cremona took over; she returned to the business in 2011 when it was close to closing. In 2012, she bought the family shares with her uncle Richard Mille, marking a major ownership transition within the founding family. They then concentrated the public offer on about fifty compositions, compared with roughly 3,000 fragrances created over the preceding forty years. Henry Jacques remains in the hands of its founding family, with an identity centered on haute parfumerie, bespoke creations, pure essences, and the Les Classiques collection. Rose Suprême is one of the house’s best-selling fragrances.
