Fragrance house
Heretic
Heretic Parfum was founded in Los Angeles in 2015 by Douglas Little, who is the brand’s founder, perfumer, and central creative force. Heretic makes contemporary, gender-neutral fragrances from naturally derived materials, including organic sugarcane alcohol, with a botanical and intimate aesthetic. In 2017, Little introduced the Dirty line after discontinuing weaker-selling fragrances and retaining scents that had sold. A collaboration with Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop produced a group of fragrances, including Church, and broadened Heretic’s public creative profile. Dirty Lemon sold 2,200 units online within 30 days of its 2018 release. In April 2019, Sekhmet Ventures took a minority stake in Heretic through a partnership intended to support the brand’s wellness positioning while Little remained in creative lead.
