Héritage Berbère
Created in Marrakech in 2008 by perfumer Marie-Jeanne Combredet and Sylvie Ciabaut, Héritage Berbère draws on Moroccan sensory memory, particularly the smells and colors of Marrakech’s souks. Combredet, born in Casablanca, had worked for seven years at Givaudan in Switzerland and later founded her own company near Grasse before returning to Morocco. The independent, artisanal brand produces body fragrances, eau de toilette, candles, ambient fragrances, and home fragrances. In 2017, it opened an atelier in Sidi Ghanem, Marrakech, to stay close to local artisan makers. Moroccan craftsmanship is also visible in its presentation: bottles are decorated with passementerie made by Moroccan artisans, while production emphasizes long maceration, manual methods, and careful filtration. Recent descriptions continue to associate the brand with Moroccan terroir, spices, gardens, local ingredients, and hand-crafted presentation.
