Hermetica
Hermetica is a Parisian fragrance brand conceived in 2017 by Clara and John Molloy and launched in 2018. Its name refers to the Hermetica books, specifically the Corpus Hermeticum, an ancient text associated with wisdom, alchemy and astrology. The brand’s perfumery combines natural materials and science in an alcohol-free base designed to bring fragrance and hydration together while sitting close to the skin. Aliénor Massenet helped develop Hermetica’s first fragrance, while Philippe Paparella-Paris joined the project during its second year; both perfumers shaped the original fragrance concept. Hermetica launched with Source¹, its first perfume, whose elements recur across the range and can be used in layering. In 2019, the brand introduced responsible ingredients, recycled-glass packaging and a reforestation partnership with Planète Urgence. It developed its “Art of feeling” concept with a professional dancer in 2022, then refreshed its visual identity in 2023. That year, the Molloys’ company, which also included Floraïku, remained independent.
