Hexennacht

Hexennacht was founded by Caroline Blicq, a Canadian molecular mixologist and herbalist whose creative background was shaped by plants and landscapes encountered in the Canadian prairies, the Pacific Northwest, and Santa Barbara’s coastal chaparral. For fifteen years, she has made perfume oils, hand-dipped incense, and floor wash from a home-based workshop. Now based outside Phoenix, Arizona, Blicq produces perfumes and fragrance oils in small batches and works alone, personally blending, pouring, labeling, photographing, packing, and posting the brand’s products. Hexennacht’s stated creative interest is in scents that feel strange and slightly off, evoking a specific room that is difficult to place. A 2018 editorial described Hexennacht as a sister shop to Sucreabeille and characterized its original blends as leaning toward gourmand and atmospheric fragrances.
