Histories De Perfums
Histoires de Parfums is a Parisian fragrance house founded in 2000 by Gérald Ghislain, who had worked in restoration and trained at ISIPCA before establishing it. The house began with twelve creations conceived as an olfactive library, drawing on characters, mythical years, poems and music as narrative sources. Its creative identity treats fragrances as chapters in a library: stories are developed first, with perfume serving as the medium of expression. Ghislain is the house’s central creative figure and the author behind its fragrance stories. In 2025, Histoires de Parfums marked its 25th anniversary after twenty-five years of writing stories through perfume. The Ceci n’est pas un flacon bleu collection emerged after years of creative and human exchange as a later development of the house’s storytelling approach. Among its fragrances, 1969 is identified as a best-selling unisex scent.
